Richard Juhlin: 91 (91) - Full score in this mighty, oaky and obese style. Lots of heavy flavors. As impressive as a great dessert wine.

Jancis Robinson: 18 - Smells of a liqueur aged in oak! Very rich and exotic on the front palate. So different from the rest. Wow! Extremely distinctive. A sort of Montrachet of Champagne. Like it or loathe it.

Brad Baker: 88-90 - As with all Fut de Chene cuvees, this has a big nose and demands air to allow the spicy pears to gather themselves. Flavor-wise, the fruit, spice, and cream aspects are all still young and a touch jagged. Some infighting is transpiring between the richly spiced orange, pear & apple fruit, the vanilla cream, and the pie crust dough. That said, give this some warmth and air and you can see all of the components come together. Personally, I will be storing my bottles for a few more years, but if you want a fun ride, there is no harm in popping a bottle now, since it is still darn good today. This wine has A- (90-92) potential.
